IDIA INC Warranty — Clear, Friendly, and Fair

We stand behind every switch panel and installation. Here’s how our warranty keeps you covered.

At IDIA INC, we build and install marine electronics with the same care we’d want on our own boats. Our warranty is simple, transparent, and designed to give you peace of mind.

What We Cover

  • Fabrication (IDIA-made dash & switch panels): 12 months from installation for defects in materials or craftsmanship.
  • Labor (installation workmanship): 90 days from the installation date. If an issue is caused by our workmanship, we fix it at no charge.
  • Manufacturer Parts: Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. We’ll help process the claim; labor after 90 days is billable.

After 90 Days

If a manufacturer part fails after our 90-day labor window, the replacement part is covered under the manufacturer warranty. Labor to diagnose, remove, and reinstall the part—plus any travel/service call—is billable.

Shipments Outside Florida (Dash & Prewired Switch Panels)

Every panel we ship is fully bench-tested and verified before it leaves our shop. If a manufacturer part in your panel fails, we’ll assist with the warranty claim and repair. You pay shipping to IDIA, and we cover return shipping after repair. Because we didn’t perform the installation, labor warranty does not apply, but we provide free phone/video support to help you troubleshoot.

On-Site Service Area & Travel

We serve Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding Florida coastal counties. Travel/service call rates vary by location.

How to Request Warranty Service

  1. Call us at (305) 570-5940 or contact us via our website with a brief description of the issue.
  2. Have your invoice or installation date handy.
  3. We’ll help diagnose, schedule service, or arrange shipment as needed.

What’s Not Covered (Common Sense Stuff)

  • Damage from impact, leaks, submersion, or corrosion
  • Modifications to wiring/panels performed by others after our installation
  • Improper electrical loads, weak batteries, or poorly maintained vessel systems

Want Extra Coverage?

Ask about our optional extended labor warranties (6-month or 12-month). They cover labor to replace manufacturer-defective parts during the extended period.
